World’s largest FPSO departs from Jiangsu

World’s largest FPSO by tonnage has set sail from Jiangsu, China to serve a Brazilian deepwater oil project.

Built by Cosco (Qidong) Offshore Engineering, a subsidiary of Cosco Shipping Heavy Industry, the FPSO is 335.31 meters in length, 60 meters in width, and 33.515 meters in height. 

Delivery of the FPSO also breaks a new tonnage towing record along the Yangtze river.

Upon the delivery, the FPSO will provide services for a deepwater oil project in Brazil, which can produce 180,000 barrels of oil per day, process 12 million standard cubic meters of natural gas, and store up to 1.4 million barrels of crude oil.
